Am thinking I would like to purchase a computer or a laptop but want a cheap one ?



Any ideas anyone its only so I can get on the net at home ?

wotcha claire I work for IBM - they've started to sell used lappys from employees when they swap up for better ones - a PII 128 RAM/4 GB HD is 175 inc VAT & a PIII/ 128 RAM/8 GB HD is 235 inc VAT... normally comes with a DVD/CD ROM as well as carry cases/internal modems etc etc...

Those refurbed IBM's Shooms is on about are about as cheap as youll find a lappy nowadays and will suffice for internet. If you would rather go for a new system (obviously more money 500€, ermm thats about 350 pounds I think, upwards) let me know and I'll get a quote together for you.

You're in Manchester, why not get down to Micro Direct, they do some great builds, you can specify you're own spec if any of their current range doesn't do it for you.

They charge £50 to build you're own spec, or you could flutter yer eyelids at them and see if they'll modify a current package for you
