minidisc to computer.....

rite, i swapped a few records for this sony minidisc recently......all i got was the minidisc player and its headphones like......luckily i already have the wire needed to connect it to my PC......

ive just recorded a set onto minidisc and have hooked it up to my computer......immediately it 'found new hardware'.....but the problem is it started searching for drivers, and i obviously dont have any of these?

so how can i get my mix onto my computer now?

cheers for any help

Ben it depends on wat model of recorder you have mate. Sony do some software for there products called Net Md Drivers and they basically make your md recorder another hard drive but only when ya connect with usb.

If your ripping and dont have this then you have to use line out like you have been doing.

If you have a socket for a usb cable on ya md recorder try get hold of the cable and download the software from the manufacturer.

P.s If ya do we might have the osa sets on line quicker j/k

Just to clear things up

If you have one of the net MD's you can transfer tunes FROM your PC to the player very quickly (about 5 mins for a whole disc's worth) It doesn't work the other way round, you still have to play the minidisc in manually through the line in, like if you're ripping anything else.
