soundforge problem... again!

rite, im just about ready to smash me computer up

when im recording the play meters were going into the red, so i went into volume control on pc and checked line in recording level, now to stop the "clip" lites coming on ive had to adjust rec level rite down [just on first notch], but when u record something an play it back u cant hear anything

i think i must have "adjusted" something on sound forge, but i aint got a clue what

any ideas guys before i give up?

I had this too fella - the prob aint the PC its the levels comin in thru mixer/amp....

Try lowerin the master volume or up fades on yr mixer....

cheers shooms sorted now, i wernt using a mixer it was just direct from stereo [cos me mixers shagged] just borrowed me mates mixer & hooked it up.... sweet
