Help with uploadin a tune to the net

reet ive just done me fisrt tune .. and ive cut a sample from it whihc i wanna put on the net for peeps to d/l and give feebback ..

the file is only 1.4mb ... i have some of my own space thro bt .. any one give me tips on how to do this at all ??? cos i aint clue

first of all you need your ftp site address and then when you get on your ftp site you can then drag and drop your files into it you will need your username and password that it will ask for when you try to upload

or use microsoft font page and put the file in your assets bin on there and upload it with this

or this use terrapin ftp which is the easiest

You could try a toy I found a while ago called

www.fileshare pro.

You need to be incharge though I think (ie be online).
It runs off your hard drive, not webspace you see. I dunno how it works for mass downloading but its easy and handy - an FTP for a novice.

errrr yeah i understand all that ... lolol ftp what not ??!!

all i wanna do is put me file on some space can get the file down to bout 3mb now .. just for peeps to d/l only not stream ..

Sorry If I complicate things.

What the Filshare does is you install the application on your computer, you select a folder you want poeple to be able to access on your machine........run the program and it tells you your IP address (your computer address on the internet) and the port number (hole through into your computer).

You let individuals know your current IP and port number (displayed on the program for you) and when youre gonna be online so they can pull it off your machine.

Thats what an FTP is basically, but Filshare program is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much easier to set up, and I think its free for one version. Cant say fairer than that.


Ignore me, its just I dont know about webspace and uploading stuff - only letting folk grab stuff off me when and how I see fit.

If you ever find you need a piss easy FTP program to share your files among friends, its a handy bleeder.

if you have nero wave editor, and in nero wave editor open the file and in the toolbar at the top where it says file, click save as and when the box comes up click options and save it in low quality so its under 1 mb and upload on this site as an attachment

nero wave editor comes free with nero burning rom
