| Add/delete progs error Hmmmm when I try & open add/delete progs from the cntrl panel in windows 2000 I get the following error: Wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment res://appwiz.cpl/default.hta line 77 any ideas peeps ? also my lappy seems unneccesarily slow these days - I got 256mb ram & 28 gb hd - currently using 17.5 gb..... cpu usage seems really pushed but when I look on task mgr now the main ones by size are iexplorer, soulseek, msnmg, mshta..... but i get the same prob at work when I aint connected to soulseek etc... may be just me beein excessively paranoid but if me work was trackin me movements/abuse what type of apps could be tagged to me pooter ? cheers for any info ![]()

| The add/remove programs thing is a bug, below is the link from the M$ site for the fix http://support.microsoft.com/default...;EN-US;Q266668 ------------------ Clean up any unnessary application and files from your laptop, defragment your disk, clean out the registry with something like regclean, you may also want to run a program like spybot search and destroy, any spy or adware will be safely removed. Pain in the a$$ i know but your performance should improve anyway by doing that, if you have any hidden stuff like spyware on the laptop you will free up bandwidth by removing that. Chances are if explorer is the main resource hog the problem could be resolved with the link above....... Goodluck Ray ![]() |
