hi

I thought all motherboards came up with a number as default

In any case it should have the info you need in the bios setup

any probs after that check for your bios type

AMI, Award etc write down the bios version and check on their websites for motherboards using this bios version

hope this helps

Alan

Open your box and it should say on the mobo what make/model it is.

If not... then if you have, for example, an IBM PC, go to IBM's website and look it up or alternatively, give them a call.

As a last ditch effort have a look at the following sites and see if you can determine the motherboard from the BIOS string used or Part ID (should be on the board):

http://www.motherboards.org/moboidtools.html
http://www.wimsbios.com/

May the force be with you !!!
