CDR problems

Heads mashed trying to get this working and i just carnt do it.

Installed a new motherboard with a sis746fx chipset,my old mobo was via chipset.

Ive formatted the drive installed all me stuff back on and for some reason i cannot burn any discs.

Ive tried using nero,cdrwin,fireburner all te same versions that worked b 4,but now none of them work at all.

The drive reads discs np at all its just the burning.

Same sorta thing in nero as well.

Also tried loading image up into daemon and burn form there but still the same

Ive installed aspi drivers that came with new version of cdrwin and also updated my ide drivers.

Ive checked my ide leads and the burner is set like it was on primary

Need to get this sorted as well cos i got stuff to burn off.

N e ideas???

XP sp1 installed

I`v got a old 4x one here im gonna stick in 2 morrow to see if its something to do with the drive.

I have since stuck ym old 4x cdr in ffs its slow but it works with nero.

Fireburner and cdrwin still not avin i at all tho
means i just gotta load bin and cues into daemon tools and do a cd copy via nero but its painfully slow.

I had to get a program update for my XP to take my Freecom 32X Maybe you need to do the same thing

It's software related, so just download the updates and that should cure it....

Carnt find ne updates for my drive ive flashed it with something.

Its also a freecom drive as well the 16x one shows up as a NEC 7800a tho

the update is for the burning software itselve. Ie Adaptec, or Nero.

They should be on the website

using nero 5.5.5.1

Worked on my other computer its something to do with this mobo,cos thats the only thing ive changed.

Altho my 4x cdr works,must just be the burner.

Had enuff of it gonna buy me m8s old one hes selling and try that if that fails im gonna smash the lot up.
