norton internet security 2003 - firewall problems

eh up when i have my firewall up n runnin when i try and stream the real audio mixes from the osa site im getting errors, when i disable me firewall there fine. i have anti leech cgi scripts running and that but any ideas why this s doing this people and is there out that can be done about it apart from turning the firewall off?

not 100% sure on this cos i aint used it before but dont yer have to allow certain things to work on it, there might be an option in there to disallow streaming or something?

Not sure what software your using but if your using something like Realserver then it can be problematic because Realserver opens connections based on requests and ya firewall probably doesn't allow inbound requests to be initiated.

I'm not familiar with Norton firewall and wether you can tell it to allow connections to its listening ports.

Looking at Real's site it seems you have to allow incoming ports 554/tcp, 7070/tcp and 6970 - 7170/udp. If they are open they you should have no problem.

I don't know what program you using but you can get Realserver to wrap the stream in HTTP only which means you only need 80 open but I suspect thats not good enuff for you ?

well a normal link toa .ram file works fine its only when i go throught the anti leech cgi script with the firewall (norton 2003) up n runnin.

n its goin thru http: already so i presume its summet to do with norton not likin the anti leech link innit
