Converting divx`s to vcd or svcd

What`s the best and most easiest way of doing this so i can what films with my dvd player. So i don`t have to download a divx player and sit here and watch it on me computer.

I`ve read somewhere on the forum that sometimes when you rip the to vcd the sound is out of cink with the film.Is this an easy problem to solve.

I`m running windows 2000 and the software i have to burn these things is nero burn.I `ll be glad if someone can explain how to do this easy peasy as i`m not a computer expert but willing to learn lol.

Thanks in advance digthemusic

You wanna use TMPGEnc to convert DivX to VCD,SVCD or CVCD.

CVCD offers SVCD quality in a lot less space than a normal VCD...so thats the one to go for. Check out the link Butty gave you and look for a guide on AVI to CVCD.

Cheers fellas ive tried but i need a little more practice with computers to sus it out properly as i`m no coputer whizzkid but i`m not one for giving up and i`ll have another go when i get more used to it.I got the TMPGnc of a very nice chappie who sorted me out(big thanks) but when i tried to drag and drop the file in to the seleted box it would only go in the audio box and not the video box for some reason. And the actual size of the file uncompressed is over 3.5 Gb which is massive lol.So what i`ve done for now is downloaded a dvx player and watch it on me computer for now.

Why is nothing ever simple

Cheers digthemusic

Maybe.............

Try a few diffo codecs mate.

Also somtimes u have to encode audio and video separate.

which is a bit Shi*e.

Best bet sack peer to peer file sharing ,and bust £7 to easynews a month.

It WILL be the BEST seven quid u sent.

If u like I'll send u some of the stuff I DLED from there, like The Recruit,(Pachino) Cradle To The Grave(Jet Li/dmx) Daredevil (LOL) 8 Mile ect. so u can see the quality and the differences between A cam, A Telesine, A screener ect ect.

Take Care
