Windows 2000 server pack 3

I just built a new computor and in stalled windows 2000 pro on it.When ugrade wwith the windows upgrade thing and install windows server pack 3 it changes my settings wo i can`t use internet explorer or outlook express.It adds in the start menu a kind of setting program to alter my computor to use my internet explorer and my normal out look express but when i press ok it won`t let me use internet explorer or out look express.

It`s as if my connection to the net has been severed.When i go back to the start menu in the the settings thingy it`s gone back to the defaults and not what i clicked on.So i`ve uninstalled sever pack 3 on its gone back to normal.

Could any of you computer whizz kids help me out of this dilemma.

I know that Service Pack 3 doesn't update "mshtml.dll" which means that IE 5.5 will fek up. You have to go get IE 6.0 (which updates mshtml.dll).

I've also heard that MS Office no longer works properly.

Other than that I'm not much help.. sorry

Thanks for the reply there fug matey.What i did was uninstall serverpack 3 when it changed everthing and then reinstalled it again yesterday and it seemed to go in alright this time.

I`m told if it misses just the slightest KB of the installation it does`nt work properly,but everything seems the be working ok so far fingers crossed.
