undoing safemode ????

How do i get everthing back on after safemode. All my graphics a shite i can`t get on the internet as well.I`ve had to come up to work to type this thread.Apparently going into safemode knocks you`re computer back to the stone age lol.

I`m running windows 98,what happened was my old man deleted some thing out of the windows start up and it come up with START UP INI missing or something on them lines.I put it in safemode which i wish i had`nt now an put in a start up disc which we made.

The computor now starts up prperly but it is if it`s still in safe mode with on the basic sytes to get your computer going.

Hope you can help(which i`m sure you can).I`ve been lookiking on the internet for a solution but have not come up with anything yet.

cheers digthemusic

Restart the PC. Press F8 whilst it is rebooting. Screen should appear with "start windows normally" as an option. Press this and you should be away.

happy new year................

Unfortunately this sounds like you may need to do the infamous back-up and clean install of windows. Hope you don't.
Windows sounds pretty corrupted though.

I would just like to say i`ve fixed the problem. How happy am i. .

After trailing the net for suggestion i just bought a new computer J/k.What i did was when it boots up i held down F8 key and when the menu came i pressed 5.Which was command promt only and the typed in scanreg/restore and restored it back to three days ago.Re started my computer and law and behold it`s back to normal.

A very happy digthemusic
