hhhmmm cookies, hack experts pls read.

My internet explorer has gone mad. when i try and view some sites that i know exist. i get this dot registrar page and about five pop ups. Something funny is going on and it's driving me mad. Found a weird cookie that couldn't be deleted so I just opened it and deleted all the commands but to no avail. help pls i'm going mad

Get adaware d/l'ed and installed. Failing that have a look in your program files dir for recently created directories, then try and uninstall whatever is in them.

Theres that "RegCleaner" program which is quite good too, if you cant get rid of it.

Be carefull messing with yer registry though. I find this really usefull for getting shut of CyDoor and other hard to delete bits and bats. You can also take a good peek ats whats on your system and customise start programs and shell extensions etc. Back up your reg first though.

aye, index.dat is a required file but it can be easily cleaned using a tool like "spider bite".
