Cheers Tigger mate, but it only copies one of the files from the folder. I wanna copy my mp3 list out of its folder into a word doc.

Sounds like you need to be getting jiggy with some DOS command there Pacman. Are you saying you want to generate a list of your MP3's in a word docco?

Something tells me this could go 'orribly wong.

Can you get to a DOS prompt in the folder where your MP3's are?

If so type the stuff between the quotes....

"dir *.mp3 /s > mylist.txt"

The file mylist.txt will be filled with all yer tuneage, just open it, and copy and paste from there into word.

If all you want is a list of mp3's there's an easy way to do this in winamp.

Load all your mp3s into the playlist, then either press CTRL + ALT + G or at the bottom of the playlist window, select Misc, then Misc Opts, then 'Generate HTML playlist'

Lo and behold winamp will open an internet browser window and make a list of all your files which you can then highlight, copy and paste into word, or save as an HTML document to send to other people.

I'd do what wildpitch said but I'd customise it a bit to get rid of the path information. Depends on the structure of your folder. If you have just one big directory then do:

C:\> cd c:\myfiles\mp3s
C:\> dir *.mp3 /b > mylist.txt

If you have more than one directory like "mp3s\techno" or "mp3s\house" then you can either get the barebones output that "/b" produces by going into each directory seperately or use the command wildpitch suggested in the parent directory. Using the "/s" option produces the full path info which is ugly and means you'll probably need edit the output.

rite!!!!

Really easy way!

Load all your tunes in Winamp, then click on misc, the generate HTML file, savie this and load it into word or leave it as HTML Then everyone can read it!!!

a LOT easier then playing around with command lines!!!!!!!

or get cd2html from www.download.com and this will allow to customise the HTML output!

Good luck m8
