| Ermm ok lets see if I can clear this one up for ya. 1. Real player plays stuff both online (streaming media) and offline (stuff you have on your hard drive). 2. Kazaa is for downloading stuff and not really for playing anything, although you can preview some stuff with it while you download them, so esentially YES you need to be online to use Kazaa. 3. The 3 CDRW drives I can recommend would be, in order from cheapest to dearest - LG-Goldstar 8400B - 40x 12x 40x Liteon LTR-48125W / LTR-48126S 48x 12x 48x Plextor PlexWriter 48/24/48A Cant go wrong with either of these 3 CD burners, all class A, all 100% clonecd compatible. Personally unless youre going to use it to burn 100+ CD's a week, you would probably be just aswell to get the LG drive, its a great little runner and its very cheap. Hope this helps, Myk.

| Myk's recommendation of the "LG-Goldstar 8400B - 40x 12x 40x" sounds good for the money and its supports programs that create vritual CD drives... don't worry about it now but when you figure out why you want to use virtual cd drives you'll be glad your CD-Rom supports it ![]() --- fug

| Id have to double check on this one but I seem to remember that the best option in a 20 machine comparison was a Yamaha (think the model was F1) with a close runner up being a Mitsumi drive. Atleast that was the case for strictly audio. Having said that most DVD Rom's and CD Rom's (more so the DVD's due to higher a precision lens) would more than likely give you better results than any writer would when it came down to reading. In other words go for a DVD Rom if youre after the best reader for audio extraction. Again LG make great DVD Drives but to be honest the cream of the cream goes to Toshiba with Pioneer not far behind.
