OSA Chrimbo Cracker

Great turnout tonight Loads of people i didnt know so it just goes to show the boards still getting newbies and is still growing Nice to meet some of the new people, and of course always a pleasure to see the usual suspects When i got there Adam was banging out some reet tuneage, master piano amongst other underground housey tracks that i really cant think what they were atm and some wicked piano beasties Nice to see you tonight dood

Mr Radish was up next and was dead nervous, but you played an absolute blinder mate, not a beat out of place and some really ace tunes You obviously enjoyed yourself so well done my son

Cano followed that up with imo the set of the nite, subsub, kraze, jumpin dub, kites and loads of other good tunes that you copied off me

Welly took the reins at 1, and played elixir vitae - gotta release this, bombscare and some other beasties that i cant remember the name of either and was tearing it up like a mofo for most of it

I finished the night in a random fashion I played a few classics first of all, collapse - my love, rhythm foundation, last rhythm vocal mix, Technoage, and some totally random shizzle that i can hardly remember lol deelite groove is in the heart, prince - when doves cry, mantronix got to have your love, nena cherry buffalo stance, labi siffre something inside so strong, and cameo word up Big thanks to all the soldiers who stayed till the very end Its always a pleasure playing to you lot, i hope you enjoyed it

Nice one to Bman for spotting the dodgy needleage, and to cano for breaking it

Nice one everyone, merry chrimboooo

PS Thank you to my baby Teece for just being you Luv yoooo

PPS I'm the only one thats still awake Stylee, Mr Ben and Teece are all giving it Zees!

Night started off with a phone call from Cartouche at 9:15 saying Scubar was not open! I thought it was a wind up! Turned out Butty was running late!

After some frantic cable laying . . . the night started at about 9:40 with Soda Jules. . . shame you only got a short stint as you played some top tunes.

Adam B worked the room well and got the temperature rising, by playing some piano belters.

Next it was little old me .. . . I had been walking around trying to convince myself I was not nervous and doing a very bad job of it and resorted to Jack Daniels a little early! It was a relief to finally get that first mix out of the way. I loved every last second of it, so a big thanks to Butty for the slot.

Played quite a spread of material, the cover of Terrence Trent Darby - Sign Your Name seemed to go down well and favourites such as Electrik Dance and Q never fail. . .. . it's easy with tunes like that .

On to Cano. . . .I agree with Woody. . .set of the night mate . . .. some great tunes and mixed so smoothly as per usual. Loved Kites mate. . . was gonna play it myself!

Welly played as Welly does. . . .very well. . .. great scratching and at times I was transported back to Ark at Leeds Corn Exchange!

Last but not least. . . Woody. A very unusual, but top alternative last hour mate. . . .not at all what I expected, but some really good grooves and Buffalo Stance nuff said.

Great to see everyone before Christmas. . .Thanks for the many kind words.

Have a Wonderful Christmas and a Fantastic 2008.

Chris.

Had a spiffing time courtesy of the osa family.

Super impressed with another deck virgin pulling of a great set... Radish

No need to make Canoes head swell anymore, but it was a blinder

Apologies to Manc for hugging him like a very sexy lamp post the majority of the night. Just don't mention the SC words again

Nics that stampee dance was the shizzle

I would give you all an individual mention but I think I'll have some sleep and keep you all in my good thoughts

What can i say? A great friendly set of people, playing music I love - what more do you want?

I was actually just supposed to go to the FC United match, but that was called off. Ended up with our kid in town at 4pm, by 8pm I thought ...mmmm...Scubar....

top night, great to meet lots of people - apologies if I didn't make a lot of sense as I was a bit at times due to aforementioned early start and generally feeling giddy as fuck....top tunes top people.

I enjoyed that. Was feeling really rough early on as I'd been proper poorly for the last few days, but felt gradually better as the night went on. Enjoyed all the sets. Think there was a sequence of 3 or 4 tracks Cano played in a row that really "cured" me. Forgotten now what they were of course.

Nice to chat to a few ppl not heard of for a while. I've been working 7 days a week for most of 2007 and they've cracked down on intenet use at work, so rarely get a chance to look at OSA so I'd kinda lost touch with what ppl have been up to. Had good, but brief chat's with Adam and Mr Radish - pleasure to meet yous.

Jules

Had a great time in great company. Pleasure to see the faces I know again and it is always nice to meet somebody fresh.

Cano rocked as expected.

Woody you were awesome dude. The last five or so tracks were all mind scramblers and totally unexpected. Prince and Nenah Cherry? Fcuk Yeah!!

It was also sweet to see an original old skool Ritz face. You go girl!
