The Work @ 53 Degrees, Preston

This was one of the best nights ive been to in ages. Got there about 10.45 and walked into hear rick jones playing some absolute blinders... gave me an idea of what was to come Then it was Gaz who was wicked, Ben Fisher & eddie Osborne who for me were the highlights of the night, they played all the best tunes and threw in some awesome scratching. Stu Allen rocked, as always. We all actually left when absolute came on.

The club itself is smart too, clean and cool, cheap drinks and friendly doorstaff which is always a bonus. My only problem was that the floor was too slippy for my new heels i got used to it tho as the night went on.

there were a few knobheads in there, but as usual i just ignore them didnt spoil my night anyway and i cannot wait for the next one.

Anyone who didnt go i can totally recommend it. Nice one Gaz for putting on one outstanding night

Wondered when some one would get round to reviewing this event . . .

Me and Eddy got there bout 10.45pm , to the sounds of the man Like rick jones throwing out some belting bowlers classics , and the place was filling up very nicely , was well impressed with the venue all round , very smart and extremly clean , the door staff were very very friendly and polite , which makes a nice change from many other places , sat had a few beers ( have to say the beer prices were spot on there spec for a club like that ) listened to the final bits of Ricks set , then oldskooler came on for half an hour with some nice old skool and zoney type stuff , altho i didnt really hear much of it tbh , up next was myself and Eddy with a B2B Goodtimes special . . .

And to say the least I WELL ENJOYED IT . . as did the crowd , we had them jumping and bouncing away for the full hour , got to play some phat ass tunes to a nicely full club with a little bit of b2b scratching and messing about , the atmosphere was bob on for me , loved every minute of it ( even had a lot of Halifax crew that had made the journey over in mini buses to see me , which was nice to see ) . . didnt wanna get off the decks when our hour was up , could have played an for another hour easy . . lol had a hell of a lot of ppl sayin our set was the best of night ?? , altho i cant comment on that one myself . . lol as we just did what we do best and it seemed to work and get the right result . . . had to leave straight after which i was pretty gutted about as i wanted to see Absolute rock the house , only just caught the beg of stu!s set as we were leaving . . .

All in all a absolute belting night , eveything about this night was spot on as i said before , from the club , doorstaff , drinks prices , the crowd , and also the promoters , who did everything they could for you . . this is how all nights should be . . . so MASSIVE thanks to Gaz and the WORX crew , well done on a top launch night , am sure youll go from strength to strength on the back of that night . . and ill look forward to coming back there

Amazing night!

Well it definately 'Worked' for me! lol.

It was by far the best night out i've had for ages!

Venue was really impressive, with a wicked sound system - my ears are still ringing! lol

I danced my socks off from the minute I walked in to the minute I left - it was tune after tune all night if I closed my eyes I could have been back at Bowlers!

The atomosphere was second to none, it was absolutely wicked!

Rick Jones, you beauty! What a start to the night... definately got everyone up dancing.

Ben Fisher & Eddy's set was awesome, definately best set of the night, not heard scratching like that in ages! I dont think there was a single person sat down during their set, it rocked the house!

Then the man like Stu Allen - what can I say, he was awesome, the crowd went absolutely mad.

First few tunes of Absolutes were grim, felt like I was at Ikon or something, and the dancefloor emptied (although maybe that was just because Ben's & Stu Allen's sets were so massive, it was hard to measure up to?) It did pick up again later on in his set and the tunes got better, but decided to call it a night.

But all in all a wicked old skool night, cant wait for the next one!
