Well, what can I say?
That was one of the best nights out I've had for ages
Me and Cookie got there early around 10.15ish and wasn't many in, wasn't sure what it'd be like, but the music was cool, reminded me a bit of friends and family at the start (dj with the red coat)
Hello to those off the board that said hi, was great to meet Trickyvegas, Jeff and essie and to see Les again, I did meet a few others but I can't remember the names due to being off my head lol oops
Not been to the attic for a while and thought the sound system was really good, nice and loud, crisp and didn't distort, so top marks for that.
Loved 90% of the music, and must admit I only actually knew a handfull of tracks played the whole night, which was really cool, it's great going out and hearing stuff you're not familiar with.
Best DJ of the night (for me personally) was Moonboots, wow, what an amazing set that was, he played this track that had sweeps and acid and loads of other big sounds in it, lasted for nearly 10 mins, near the start of his set, and afterwards had a quick chat to him and he gave me the ID, thanks for that, will track it down when it's released
What occured to me most of all, was how friendly the crowd were, and really polite too, from people accidentally bumping into you and saying "sorry" - wow, didn't think I was in Manchester lol
The only thing I'd do to improve the night (and this is the club, not the night really itself) and that would be, turn off those main lights that are on, as I found it too bright in there, I love dark and dingy clubs, but like the Music Box, but overall loved the night and vibe, the crowd were really up for it, and one of the most diverse crowds I've had the pleasure of being in for years.
(ps. I'd recommend adding a 'reviews' section to the board, so others can quickly navigate to it and read what people say about past nights, could be a good thing maybe?)
Thanks again to all behind the scenes who made it a top night.
Will deffo be attending more stylus nights.
Love to all
