Talking Silverstone - Our day out to The Great British Grand Prix!

Part twelveTy of our weekends big adventure now....

Well what can I say apart from Omg!!!! Yesterday for me was absolutley out of the world!!! Every single bit of passion that I have in me for my beloved F1 was well and truly in my face yesterday!! We was of course there for real, rather than watching it through a TV set.... Where were we? Of course at Silverstone home of The Great British Grand Prix!!!! And what an experience it was too...

The weather blessed us all yesterday... it was hot, hot, hot!!! Yeah!!! So god bless you weather god for being so good to us!

All our plans went to plan, well mostly so no trauma with travel, getting in etc etc it was a stupid O'clock get up tho... and Im talking a 5 am get up from my mates house in Milton Keynes.. So god bless you for your hospitality on Saturday night Maz!

It was everything that I hoped for and more, we settled on the front spot at Becketts corner where the cars had to brake hard so could see more of the cars... The sounds and sights of the cars going past made me have tingles and rushes in and up every single part of my body and made me feel giddier than a giddy thing!!!

It was the most puuuuurfect day trip out!!!!

So a most massive thank you to Joker, PW and miss saysay for sharing one of the most best days of my life with me!!!

S-J x

P.S. Miss SS and I, even managed to get filmed by El-Gringo Spanish TV!! Pmsl... I wont tell you the rest! lol

Had a fantastic weekend, the trip down to Milton Keynes didn't take long at all, it seemed to fly by. Once we got there and eventully got into the house, we were settling down, having a quiet drink when about 10-15 peeps came in, the music was whacked on etc etc etc, lolol there was no way we were gonna be having a quiet night!! Think i got about 2 hours sleep in all.

Woke up at 5am, gorgeous weather, lovely start to the day. Got to silverstone at about 7am after getting off the park n ride bus, which was bloody boiling already!! All in all, the day was excellent, the red arrows were fantastic, if not a little scary, lol me n s-j ran for cover at one point, they were doing some right mad maneuvers, and were VERY close to the ground, and the noise was summat else!! The race itself was rather non eventful, shame button didn't get a podium finish. Had a walk up to hangar straight which is the fastest part of the circuit, wow thats when you really get a feel of both the noise they make and the speed they travel at, unbelivable!! Think they do about 180/190 mph there!!!

Couldn't believe it when S-J and PW went to get ice lollys, and came back about half an hour or more later, they had to walk back to the pit straight area (which was ages away from where we were) only to find out later that there was an ice cream van just around the corner in the opposite direction!!

That sun was SOOO hot, don't think i've ever been that hot before, i'm not a lover of the sun, don't mind it in small doses, but 12 hours in it at 30c, eek!! Thank god for the tunnel near us!! My head is still a bit red btw, lol!!

Thanks again you three, so glad we could go!! ..and i'm glad you all enjoyed yourselves!
