The Italian Dance Birthday Bash - Blackpool 11/06/05

What a top night we had 'ere

To be honest I was a bit apprehensive before I went that the tunes wouldn't be my cuppa cha, not being a big piano lover.

But a pretty wide variety of music got played and the purely Italian that was played was of the highest quality.

The first thing I noticed as we got there was that 'Club One Eleven' where it was held, is actually the old Sequins!! Was buzzin me head off being back in the building that held many, many top memories from my (far off!) youth! Its been 14 years since I was last in there and appart from now being split into two rooms, it hadn't changed much from how I remembered it.

They had 2 rooms on, one 'synth' one 'piano'...the synth room was very 94 onwards Zone type tunes (not my thing at all) and with MC's young enough to be my kid (nearly!) I didn't venture in there much.

The other room was 'on fire' tho, everyone that went on played a blinder ( despite some troubles with tunes jumping ) Mr Lee, Barry Jay, Ricky P and our very own Chris Biskit played one stonker after another, and i didn't stop dancing all nite (not like me that ).

Hope to go again soon.

My brain hurts at the mo, so its gonna be a short one!!

Had a top time last night, the tunes were wicked, the people were friendly and there was a great atmosphere. I danced from beggining to end, all the dj's played top sets!!

Nice to meet Ricky P, i think i met you anyway, lol was a tad !! Also nice to see Barrie Jay and Mr Lee.

Also, it was good to see everyone out again enjoying themselves.

This event took an immense amount of organising but it was well worth it in the end.

Despite running completely out of time in the afternnon getting the club ready - we could not fully test the sound system in the piano room which resulted in not spotting the stylus jumping problem - it was, mostly, alright on the night.

Nice to see a good crowd from a wide age range bringing back a good old party atmosphere.

The synth room with the mc`s seemed to be rocking all night.

The piano room played a good span of 88 to 94 piano - and not striclty all italian - there was a lot of excellent UK tunes played too.

Thanks to all the dj`s, MC`s and promoters for putting their time into this. It really has demonstrated a love for the music.

Thanks and well done !!!!!!!!!!

Find of the night - Dave Shaw - played a blinder in both rooms.

I didn`t think I would hear Hardcore Uproar but what a response it got, lolol.

electric atmosphere and friendly people deffo

This is where in the future OSA DJ's may want to help out too...
