Goodtimes Comes To Wakefield!!!

Ive had a top weekend, met Katoosh on sat day, chilled till night then went to the Kube about 10.45 went straight downstairs to DJ, was well impressed with the venue and Id not seen half of it yet. Good sound system and nice monitors make a nice experience to play your tunes. The room filled up pretty quickly which I was chuffed with and I got the room nicely bopping away to my funky tunes, played a mixture of funky house, bassline and some funky anthems and also house with a retro flavour, went down really well, was made up with that.

Next up was Paul H, not acutally met him before and his house set was top well enjoyed his basslines. I filled in again for about 20 mins til Fabi came on. He again played lots and lots of bassline house.

Had a wonderful surprise from Ben Fisher, offering me a residency downstairs, to which I almost snapped his hand off lol. Many thanks for the opportunity Ben, Im made up

Went upstairs at about 3am to hear the end of Haighys set, business as usual, very good tunes and mixing. Next up was Ben, played an absolute blinder with all the GT anthems and some impressive mixing.

Id not seen the upstairs yet and was impressed with the layout, PA and lighting system. There were good numbers in the club and plenty of OSA, who I always buzz off

Met a couple of new peeps , Milenko and Nics, was a pleasure you 2

Didnt see the kick off cos we were downstairs, very sad that. Glad it was sorted out quickly. There were a few nobs and attitude in there but you get that wherever you go.

Massive thanks to Katoosh for putting up with me all w/e But try not to burn me with your lighted cigs three times in one night next time lol

All in all, fantastic time had, hope the night at the new venue goes from strength to strength

As for the night?? Was a strange one.

weren't really buzzin when i first got in there an couldn't be bothered to sort ought out. Kinda noticed the attitude quoite alot, specially when Craig was hit!!

When I finally got round to givin mysen a boost the tunes started rockin and the place completely changed... it went well bouncy iwth a right vibe goin on but there was still that Drun and bass attiude undercurrent...

Heres to sortin out the riff raff ben an turnin that place into a top top venue!!!

Well once again I missed all the action, didn’t have a clue about all the shit going on but hey ho, that’s nothing new!!!!!! Hope you’re ok Craig, that’s not on at all, I did spot a couple of wrong un’s knocking about though I must say.

Well I had a top night, really liked downstairs, it has that dark, cosy intimate feeling while upstairs was more lazers and bouncing. I got well confused by the staircases on a number or occasions though, kept ending up in strange places and not knowing how to get back to where I’d come from!!!!!

I’m only gonna mention the drinks prices briefly but that was just ridiculous, I’ve never before in my life paid 0ver £3 for a pint and don’t even get me started on the double vodka and redbull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’ll be going back when my lotto numbers come up I reckon!!!!!!

Was really fantastic to see so many of the cru there, it always makes me dead proud when everyone goes to so much effort to support the promoters on here, I know Ben was having panic attacks on the Saturday and it says a lot that so many people got themselves over there to be there for him!!!!!

Thanks to Ben and Gaz for letting us run riot in your house once again, it was dead good, I had a bit of a chill down in Ferroldi’s and water sports in the bathroom, where else can you have this kind of excitement under one roof eh!!!! It truly is the house of dreams. Thanks guys, you never cease to amaze me with the fun and games you come up with!!!!!

I’d just like to say and extra special thankyou to Veee for the facial artwork, after I got home, I’d been in the house for about 2 minutes and the doorbell went, so I answered it and it was my landlord delivering my new washing machine, we have never met before as I deal with an agency normally. Anyway, he brought it in the house and we had a bit of a chat then he went. I then went to the bathroom only to realise I was still sporting the Craig David stylee beard which Vee had drawn on earlier that day!!!!!! What must he of thought!!!!!!!

Drinks were a bit pricey though! £3.30 for a WKD??? Where are they impoting that from??? MARS!

Kube will be a top venue IF THE MEATHEADS ARE KEPT TO A MINIMUM. I know on wanted to do me in but I just laughed at him - loser.

soory to hear craig got a dig off some **** but there was a few knob ends in there who just dont get the oldskool vibe, and go out being the big man, well all i can say is i hope the shithead came to a sticky end involving a coffin

good to see the OSA turn out and thanks for the hospitality at the mashup, it was well funny and kept me in stitches all day!! nice one fellas

What a fantastic night

Apart from what happend to my good friend Craig ..... all round from me!!

I thought the music in there was great, spesh Ben, Ste Huxley MC Maddox and MC Lou, well done guys

I found the fact that there were two rooms pretty good too. Upstairs for a bit of a boogie and downstairs to chill.

Big thanks to Nics for picking me up, we got a bit lost but found it in the end

Thanks to Tall Paul and Biggy for taking turns in looking after my cardian, even though it resulted in Biggy calling me a jumper sl*t lol

Met a few new people as well, which is always good Tigger (ya nutter) Riskylady Flange and possibly a few more

Even attended the mashup back at Bens lol thanks to Superdan bullying me into it it was a good laugh, we were highly entertained by Jaxxy

Only stayed for a couple of hours has i was driving so could'nt drink or anything. what a great osa turnout it was great to see everyone and nice to meet new peeps. Vickles your lovely did.nt speak much but nice to meet you nics The venue was nice spent most of the time down stairs in the bottom room. So glad i was'nt drinking at those prices only one of us could afford too lol.

night started well with lift from sarah - always appreciated babe!!!

when i got there went exploring and nearly got lost - going up to go down really confused me!! lol

anyway found downstairs and ste h had me bouncing straight away!! big up for that set fella and sorry to ask names of tunes every two seconds lol and congrats on the residency!! well deserved IMO

then it was upstairs to hear the kitcher brothers for the first time well impressed with them two and then even more impressed with mc lou and maddox together!! first time i saw lou and she is quality!!

to be honest rest of night a bit of a blur in the club until walking back to car with va which was highly amusing to say the least - quality drive back with plenty of waffle and quality brew when we arrived!! lol

plenty of fun to be had at the mashup after gaz you never cease to amaze me and 3d connect 4

big up to everyone i bumped into during the night you all know who you are and hello again to milenko seem to remember having some weird conversations about school at some point with peter kay in the corner!!! hehehehehehe between peter kay and jaxxy we had hours of entertainment!! lol

Well, what a top night it was. The set I buzzed most off was me selekta Step-Hen Huxtable!!!! Loved the variety. Lots of bass, not what I was expecting at all!!!I loved that mix of zero b u put on. Congrats on a well deserved residency imo!!!!!!!!! The rest of the night was killa too, the music was buzzin all night. The variety was really good. The venue was different, I liked down stairs best. There was a few wide boys in there who liked to slime alot, they picked the wrong girl!!He he he!!!
I feel like I didn't see that many peeps coz I was talking alot, soz folks!!

All these peeps that come and I miss them, I will chat to you next time!!!!!
