Thanks to plebhead for all the lifts and driving down there and back was good to see your loft mate, looking good

Got down to town for 10 and we had to wait outside for about half an hour, as they were still setting up inside got in about 10:30ish and butty/recca were playing a blend of piano numbers, nice to hear Expose - Tell Me Why and TNT Piano Please (think they were two of plebheads most wanted on the night)

Tried to have words with the "sound engineer" they have there, who was less than helpful when asked if he could sort out the mid range and high end, he just shrugged and walked off

It got me thinking about the Hacienda Sessions night that is on next Sat, as there's no way I could possibly enjoy it with their sound system.

Can't recall who was on after butty/recca, but he played a few tasty numbers inc Lil Louis - French Kiss, nice to hear that out

There were 3 or 4 mc's there and I thought they ruined 808 State's set, constantly announcing "808 state, manchester make some noise, it's 808 state" - yeah, we know - every fucking record, and to be told "raise your hands now" was a joke, we know the records like you do, we know where they break, where they peak, and when to put our hands up in the fucking air.

Miffed, yes. but thankfully they shut the fuck up for A Guy Called Gerald, who's set was a breath of fresh air to the night, and he played Phuture - Acid Tracks, and then mixed into it Phuture - We Are Phuture, amongst many, many other acid classics, in a full on 303 workout, with some live stuff too via a laptop.

As Gerald played the acid/harder edged stuff, I think he might have been better earlier on, as 808 were the peak of the night for most people, they might have been better suited in the last slot.

Nice to see Dannster, Ow Do Helen, plebhead and featherlash out and to meet Claire B and recca finally!

Some mad times for sure later on with S-J, woody and all who were out, heh how mad was the shopping experience

butty n recca played a tip top set of kerwality tunage, nice 1 lads
followed by some dude i cant remember the name of who played french kiss how friggin mint was that, buzzed of that so much i thought my head was gonna pop
808 did not fail me, had everyone rocking! very similar set to what they played at hazy, which i aint complaining about as i loved it just as much the second time round
gotta say i didnt think much of that gerald guy thou think he woulda been better earlier on as the night seemed to build up and up then kinda flatten out during his set, shame.

Jesus it felt weird trying to ring for help to get them to come down and sort out a freshey ticket - I'm sure at one point I was balancing that glass of iced water on me head whilst trying to dial numbers on me phone and holding money in another hand?! (seemed well weird, like rubbing yer belly and patting yer head in the wrong way) haha

sorry i didnt make it out to the club, felt a bit rough come tea time, had a huge lack of clothes and was far too pissed to even attemp driving. plus someone had to look after SJ bless
them citroen 2cv s were spot on watched about 18 old horror films that seemed to all merge into one Kerazy multi faceted never ending programme, that involved muchos shit acting and even worse accents, lots of fake brains and belts to keep em in with ( seem to remember wearing a smirnoff ice carton just in case mine fell out the back ) trolls, green slime and some lawnmower men.. think u need to get them for ya back garden dannst lol

mate that was friggin mad as freaked my head out when i tried to put the duff ticket in the maching and i heard a voice say "have you payed yet mate" felt like i should have been ordering a big mac or something, they should use that carpark as a prison coz its bloomin impossible to get out or in.
