What a mad day yesterday, started off in Stockport with Shooms/Sweet buying decks and mixer and off back to Sweets to set them up, hehe how chuffed were you to get them, and see them in action

I expect some mixes from you soon missy

Off into town to meet up with Valentiadobe and Oldskoollisa & Steve, lol what a mad one that turned out to be, you lot turned up just as Dry was shutting, didn't even know they shut at 8:30 and opened again at 10, mad one.

Sorry about Bar Fringe, they don't normally hammer out that music, and it was a bit too much, but I can forgive it as the beers in there are wicked!

Didn't see you in Sankeys, did you make it there?! or end up staying in Dry all night? (hope everything went down well )

Had some top chats with Pauly P on the way down and in town before Sankeys, top to meet you

Got into Sankeys at about 9:45 and it was really busy already

I was on my way to being by around 10, and was paranoid that Amelie was lost in Manchester, and the feckers wouldn't let me out of the club into the courtyard to ring and check, as there's no reception inside the club - so I hid behind a door and made a crafty call.

Lou Lou and a few folks came over and said hello, I was a bit pickled so sorry if I didn't say much lol and the next thing I knew I was at the bar trying to remember how to buy water and Amelie had said to me "just wait there, I'll be right back" - only I hadn't twigged it was her, and was just thinking "wow, who was that, she was gorgeous" then spotted Danny C and had a natter, same with tj69, and Pot Mash was lurking around too..

Then I had managed to get water and made my way back to Pauly P, when Amelie came found me and I was like, no way! couldn't belive it lol

You looked amazing, and have the most heavenly eyes
And I hope this doesn't offend you, but you reminded me of Madonna! the eyes and the way you had your hair, you just had this aura/air about you, and not that I've met Madonna or owt lol but that's what I thought, haha - I'm mad I know

An old mate from school came and said hello, and I wanted to give him the board address for this place, but couldn't get the words out, by then I was propper

You couldn't move in there by 11pm, and we all went for a sit down, well I stood up as I had me huge camera in me pocket lol (oh I did really well, I managed to take a grand total of 1 picture, hooray for me - the fecking battery ran out just after I got a snap of me with Mike Pickering)

Big hello's to everyone else that I met there, a girl called 'Wig' (real name apparently, I had to ask several times as I didn't belive her, or thought she'd just made it up lol) and a guy called Richard who found the idea of us getting a taxi back to Stockport funny as feck, no idea what was so funny about that?!

It's a fair sized club, and it's amazing how easy it is to lose someone in there, lol - took us ages to find Konspiracy in there, you just appeared in the middle of nowhere, around the 'stairway to heaven' as I named it (was a little ramp type walking way that people kept falling off, and I was convinced that I'd dropped my coat ticket under it, and spent 5 mins on the floor only to to be told later by tj69 that it wasn't a coat ticket I had in my hand, it was a chuddy wrapper

Err the music, lol - it was mint, they took turns in the first hour playing some class hip hop and electro, like Man Parish - Hip Hop Be Bop (Don't Stop) and Mantronix - Bassline and Gotta Have Your Love, sure there was a Big Daddy Kane track in there too, a slow one, and tons more, then slowly speeded up to allow a smidgeon of 4/4 slower tracks, some of which I'd never heard before, and then into familiar territory with some class house, Raze - Break For Love, and I was amazed at hearing Frankie Knuckles - Your Love so early on, think it was before 12!!

I was meant to ask if they recorded the sets, but I was too pickled to say owt in there, and think I asked someone random outside and they didn't have a clue lol (I did ask, just not the right people)

Had to get some air at around 2ish, just as Amelie left, aww shame ya left, as you missed 2 Hype - had to ring you and play it ya hehe

Then it was off in hunt of one of them taxi things, to get home, that was a mission and a half, kept saying to Pauly P "ahh fook it, we're on the wrong side of the road" and kept switching sides to get a taxi lol

Glad you had a top night though, and we had some mad chats when we got in hehe, "sitting down is the new standing up" and that cramp you got in both legs was mad, but could see you were having a belting time in there

Shame it was a one off, as it was probably the best old skool night I've been to in years, be cool if they do more (just not clash with hazy )

Last quick bit, top to see Northern Star & Joker today, and meet WAFC - you should try ya hardest to sneak out for next months hazy

Am feeling fooked now, complete loss of power due to being all sweaty and dancing and aching all over, so am staying put tonight, catch yas all soon tho

Wow! what a night that was....
Some of the tunes that was played just blew me away,bit of mild stuff early
on with a few electro vibes and heavy Bass line Hip Hop..

Things probably started proper aroun 12ish,by then you could not move and the Gaff was like an oven which was the only down side.

The atmosphere was electric just like the old days everyone swinging from the raffters..

Great to meet a few new folk there that Blue Jammer introduced can only remember Pauly p but im afraid the other names have gone.....Sorry folks.
This was probably due to being another victim of Blue Jammers magic potion Cheers fella.

If Hazy is anything like that i must make an effort to go..

except i had to pay cash on the door as my tickets where not as they should have been on the door
so £90 down

Shame that everytime I tried to drive into town I kept getting diverted by the pooleece cos of those gays and thier pride lol (wanted to to buy some jeans / tunes etc...).

Anyway, Great to see the legend that is Blue jammer with his top hospitality and pearlers like "sitting down is the new standing up".
Great to meet Amelie (sorry I couldnt get my words out but it was my introduction night to BJ`s wonder stuff which will deffo be happening again now I know what that was like ). Scott`s right about your eyes. I`m sure you said Jonno was going to be around later to collect you so I made a mental note to try and get to say hello but really don`t know what happened later - doh!
Top to see Konspiracy out again - will be out more now so it won`t be another 8 months.

What can I say, superb night..

After much faffing around, eventually got there for 11.. 11, wtf, I blame some of my mates who like to take it easy these days Bit of a worry cos 2 of them were on the guestlist, but no problems there

Unbelieveably busy when we got there, then for some reason it seemed to empty out a bit, which was nice

Only been waiting for something like this for 10 years or so, and thankfully it
wasnt a let down at all..

Top tunes, top atmosphere, like the old days, clapping, cheering of tunes, singing along, wish I'dve taken my camera..

What in f**ks name is that stuff. I quote "yes its 90% MDMA and 10% LSD" Hmmmm I thought, maybe a real buzz with a bit of a spaced out feeling, sounds ideal for a night I'd been waiting to happen for about 10 years.
Anyway after an hour it was apparent someone had inserted an on/off button directly linked to the celebral cortex (I'm sure someone had a remote or something). 5 minutes of ecstatic pleasure , followed by 10 minutes of Timothy Leary style madness. As the night progressed, the gap between the two became shorter until it was full on 1989 Planet/Red Dragon/Microdot experience. Unfortunately it all got a bit much for Danny boy, particuarly when some girl about 18 said "maybe if it was music your familiar with, you might feel better" !!!!!!!!!!What!!!!!! That was it paranoia came and I was off. Then came part two. Strolling through Ancoats " Urban Village" shadows everywhere some dodgy guy in a door way (was he there?) God knows how long, but eventually made it to Oldham Road and into town. Past all the vicous looking scallies (who all resembled rodents) then into the village, where everyone was crying or having a full on bitch fight. As I stood amazed outside Mctuckys I asked some guy why everyone was crying. He moved away quickly.

Did all this happen? who knows, I would have loved to post a reply about Ten City, knuckles, Mr fingers etc etc, but I can't remember.

Moral of the story: Beware of a dodgy manc bugger bearing gifts!

I think judging by their reactions during and at the end of the night they would be up for doing it again. I sure hope so.

I got a fair few pictures through out the night which I'll host up as soon I as get them off my camera.

The summer has been amazing at the club, how ever Saturday was certainly the icing on the 10th Anniversary cake.

I'll find out about the set recording, I had friend who said he would do the honours only for him to go out and forget.

I'm sure one will surface soon.

What a way to make my debut after some 8 years abstention from club life!

Firstly, i feel a HUGE thankyou to BJ is in order, mate you really did look out for me both before (thanks for not only getting but paying for my ticket) and during the night, it is mucho appreciated- you really are a top top bloke

The place was bloody heaving by the time i arrived at 11pm, and i mean really rammed- i had to fight my way to the bar. What did stand out as soon as i entered was how friendly everyone was, it had a great atmosphere- you could tell immediately that everyone was up for a good night. I thought the security was very tight, lol they took both my skins and chewing gum off me .

The music was excellent, about half the stuff i had not heard before, and the majority of the known ones were old favourites. I am really gutted that i missed 2 Hype, it was the one i was hoping for.

I met some sound people, Pauly P- we did not really converse that much but it was great o meet you anyway, judging by the amount of sweat you were having a fantastic night, i think i only spotted you sitting once!. Konspiracy, another great indivdual (with a lovely girlfriend). Met some ace strangers, as you do lol and spent ages chatting to one girl whilst 'wall dancing'.

Now i have been out once i have definatly got the bug and i cannot wait to do it again, i am offski's to read the events section to see what is on this sat!

Thanks again Scott for a truly fantastic night, it had great music,a great vibe, and great people- i could not have wished for more
