The infamous all ways acid crew, are planning an opening season party at the chy/koola bar sat june 14th Newquay Cornwall.
Following the full capacity and storming sucess of our end of season party last year(thoroughly tested, and approved by jason donavan!), we have pulled out all the stops to make this one even better!
Expect to hear a great 9 piece live funk band, and to have some serious old skool soundsystem fun! as veteran djs leave their usual set at home and look towards the back of their record collections!
2 rooms 900 capacity tickets only a fiver.

Koola club-Classic old skool and retro underground sounds
Chris Liberator(stay up forever), Sikaflex(uglyfunk), Gannet and The Rev Damien Thorn(all ways acid!).

Chy bar-superb live music and classic old skool house
4 Tons of Funk(live 9 piece funk band!), Mastervibe-old skool house set, and more tbc.

Old skool, is hard to come by unless we are doing something, nobody putting flyers around at the mo because its dead here in feb!. what music u looking for, I'll try to keep an eye out and let u know if I see anything suitable.

Sat June 14th sees the return of the infamous All Ways Acid party collective.
Following the success of our end of season party last year, we are back in collaboration with the Koola/Chy bar, and joined by the oldskoolanthemz.com crew (the biggest and most active old skool site on the net with 10000 members), to put on a proper old skool summer season opening party, that the rain cant spoil!
These parties were originally an invite only, out door affair, where veteran dj’s of the acid house scene leave their usual set at home and look towards the back of their record collections.
Much loved by a friendly and varied crowd, traveling from all over the UK, our move into the Koola/Chy has allowed us to extend to two rooms, and offer a superb live music element, as well as a broader range of old skool, including acid house, club classics, house, trance, breaks and acid tek funk, so now there really is something for everyone to dance to.

In the Chy, expect superb live funkin’ retro grooves from the Cornish 9 piece band 4 Tons of Funk! Followed by an old skool house/club classics mashup by local hero Mastervibe, responsible in the nineties for the “Progression” events at Cornwall’s rave venue, The Shire Horse, and, um, community radio station, Panic fm.
Also, Butty (founder of oldskoolanthemz.com, and co-promoter of Manchester old skool events “Timeless” and “Evolution”) and Cano (a veteran of the legendary Manchester house night Life@Bowlers) representing oldskoolanthemz.com for the first time in the South West, all playing on our usual out door rig for a bigger sound!.

In the Koola we go a little deeper underground. Chris Liberator, one of the three Liberator dj’s from the stay up forever collective, is back again. His world renowned sets are an inspiration for the underground acid techno scene. GMC from uglyfunk, has a huge record collection and an ability to blend different styles for an inimitable set, dj Rhythm (oldskoolanthemz.com) a 17 year acid house specialist, veteran dj and producer with a broad experience of the Northern underground scene, Simon (Artbox/All Ways Acid) has been involved in the Cornish party scene since the early days, and has played for us since the beginning, and the Rev Damien Thorn, All Ways Acid resident, with an eclectic taste from way back when, all digging up some more classic moments in old skool and retro underground sounds.

Due to the massive response to our last event it is advisable to get tickets early, or risk being locked out and missing the fun!

I've had a rummage and have dug out some tracks from the mid 90's that I've not played on osa before now, be a nice change to play quality stuff that I got into after the house scene went pants in 92/93 and onwards, the sorta stuff that I think lies in a void where no one plays it.

Just been to Newquay last weekend for my best mates b-day, place still looks buzzing from all my nites there as a kid, was nice to Fly from Guernsey back to my homeland, got about 10-20 peeps up for this NIGHT who still live in Devon/Cornwall, including both my sisters and my younger bro, 2 of my best mates. So bring it on!

Neil will deff meet before hand if u want my copy of Mental Cube to play out, if anyone else is thinking of Camping i no of 2 sites that are ace just drop me a PM! as i will be roughing it for Camping! get in!

This will be my summer home with my friends and family as i have booked 9days back home week starting 13th June!
