Thanx guys, Jamie - I'll add you to my list (got a couple still to do yet) anything in particular you want on it or should i just get creative and do you want your full name or just Jamie?

BTW the original plan was that I'd have my new site at splattdesigns up and running when I started banging out the sigs but so far I've only managed to get as far as the flash navigation system and haven't even started putting in content yet!!! Oh well - it'll get done eventually!

Which fonts are you on about? The 3D spinning AP on the main page of my portfolio was done using Swift 3D v.2 (one of my fav. toys at the moment) but everything else is done in photoshop using either the built in effects or some of the plugins I've got.

the fonts in your funky signatures. i use xara 3d but ends up looking really shite. I used to use flash for a couple of animations fucked it off fot the time being probs start back up when i'm back at college.

Do u make animations or stick to web orientated stuff. but its all good tho i hate using action script in flash all i have used it for is which scenes to play, do a loading screen and other basic stuff.

Once ya start on somethin tho ya just can't leave it tho ya keep gettin ideas to stick in.

Jay, if you haven't already get yaself a copy of Photoshop 7 the built in styles can do awesome stuff with simple txt and then you can customise it as much as you like from there - it's way more powerful than anything thats been around before.

With the way the web is evolving onto things like PDA's and mobile phones your going to need a solid understanding of Flash to keep up with things as it is rapidly becoming the standard for cross-platform development, unfortunately you will need to get your head around actionscript to do anything worthwhile in flash and Russel Chun's Visual Quickpro Guide called Macromedia Flash Advanced will help you cross over from simple animation to complex scripted movies quickly and easily. I've got an interview coming up in Manchester for a Flash job next week and the salary they're offering beats the hell out of anything I'll get for standard web design.

I've been discovering that working on something for yourself (say a personal site or something) tends to take much longer than a site for a client cos your always messing about and changing things on it. I started the proper Splattdesigns site in March and I'm onto version 28 of it now!!!!

Anyway, I've cleared the sigs I still had outstanding and I'm going to get on to yours next, you'll be the first to know when its ready.

Fug mate, glad you like yours - may it bring you much joy!

i use flash mx n dreamweaver mx and im getting the latest studio by macromedia i dunno if its any good but i know were doing some at college so i might aswel get ahead less work in the long run and maybe sum better grades.

i have photoshop 7 and some add ons like got a fair few tubes instaled. Tried adobe photoshop 8 and adobe after effects thought they were really crap though. so ive stuck with psp.
