Aye, I realise that but here's the weird bit! It got it right for me three times consecutively with 3 different numbers - that's a 1 in 100 probablity. Add to that getting it right for Cookie and digthemusic that increases the probability to 1 in 10,000! So there must be something else going on there as well!

Right, when i did it, it got it wrong & I know why.....haha

when you scroll to the shape, dont have your shape in the middle. the sphere picks the shape thats in the middle of the screen.

ive tried it twice & it picked the middle shape each time.

Sh*te

That's just screwed my head up for the last 20 minutes.

I've figured out how it works, so...

if you don't want to know or haven't tried it yet or want to figure it out for yourself...

PLEASE DON'T SCROLL DOWN!!!

Right, it was doolz's idea that got me thinking, you were well on the right lines fella, cos I couldn't get my head round it at all...

Here's how it works: like doolz said, if you think of '99' then:

99 - 9 - 9 = 81
98 - 9 - 8 = 81
97 - 9 - 7 = 81

and so on down to 90:

90 - 9 - 0 = 81

It's the same for other numbers, so:

89 - 8 - 9 = 72
88 - 8 - 8 = 72
etc etc...

The complete 'table' looks like this:

10 to 19 answer = 9
20 to 29 answer = 18
30 to 39 answer = 27
40 to 49 answer = 36
50 to 59 answer = 45
60 to 69 answer = 54
70 to 79 answer = 63
80 to 89 answer = 72
90 to 99 answer = 81

okay, see those numbers in red?

Go to the webpage, and scroll through the list of symbols - the symbol next to each of these numbers (9, 18, 27 etc) is exactly the same, so whatever number you think of, the symbol will always be the one shown next to 81.

Geddit?

It took me frikkin ages to figure that out.

I need a beer now.

Me too!

The reason there is a 'scrolling' frame on the page is so it's not obvious that the symbol is repeated.

Clever fekker whoever thought of that one!
