we saw a sign on the way in that said express parking £15 but that was to park right near the front gates when you go in........we parked in section A which was miles away and not a single sign that said you had to pay to park!!

i mean its a rip off as it is.....£36 to get in but we had bogofs so it was only £18, then food n drinks etc and before ya know it ur skint as fook......its a dear doo there but so worth it

some minibus firms do a deal........think its £30ish and thats the minibus there and back and entrance fee......so nobody has to dive

but they do one pick up and one drop off and based on 10 people i think???

b4 you payed 36 quid to get in tis a dear doo but well well worth it.but heres a couple of alternatives for our next outing anyway

Have said before, I'd like to give flamingo land a whirl, i'm mad about flamingos, think theyre ace

Drayton Manors a bit of a trek from you lot y'know - its not all that far from where i'm from.
Its pretty good, but not a patch on Alton Towers tbh. It may have improved even more since I last went though I guess.
Masses of us used to go down there on Sundays from a mash-up back in the days where you could pay a couple of quid just to get entry into the place and zoo bit, you used to have to pay the extra price for wristbands to get on the rides. Dunno if thats still the case now and its like Alton..you're either in, or not.

looking at drayton manors website there's 4 or 5 "must do" rides (not dissimilar from AT) inc a stand up roller coaster which looks mint and this Welcome to Drayton Manor check the guys face when the ride accelerates

they dont do seperate rides and admissions anymore. entry is £25 but i'm sure we can find it cheaper

Couldn't say to be honest mate, it was years ago when I went. That stand up thing had only just opened - was probs around '93 / '94. It was ok then I suppose, but not as good as Alton Towers. I guess it'll have changed a bit since then though lol

I'd be up for Drayton, it'd make a change from Alton Towers anyway, and by the looks of it they've got quite a few new rides since I last went
