Good answer!!

Although can you imagine the devastation if everyone who has a house, suddenly moved and started carving up the countryside for firewood etc.

When I was a kid, I grew up on a farm, with our own spring for water and and firewood for heating and hot water. It's a nice way of life.

I agree, the country would look a lot different if we all had a 65 millionth(is that a fraction??) or whatever of it each.

plenty of alternatives for those people in town houses also

No fuel is perfect but coppice wood is sustainable(they grow back), easy to install a stove if the property is suitable, and very very cost efficient if you invest a few grand into a small woodland within a few miles of home, rather than say a new car, bathroom or whatever. Using electricity for heating is crazy, its as inefficient as you can get

Micro generation ie on your property/in your community, is more energy efficient than the national grid, costs of equipment and installation are still expensive now but coming down very fast(look in spain an portugal), and you cant be held to ransom by your supplier

Its just a personal thing but, since we have fucked up all traditional sources of water in and around towns.I dont think anyone should profit from the provision of clean water. Pay for the upkeep, wages etc fine, but water should be available to all regardless of their financial situation imo.
