Some obvious choices but:

Johnny Depp - class act and a decent type of bloke to boot.
Robert De Niro - just plays himself usually but still damn enjoyable to watch
Dennis Hopper - about as good as it gets

Other less obvious ones:

Cameron Diaz - mostly because of her role in Being John Malkovich which was that good I didn't even realise it was her
Ricky Gervais - not really considered a top actor I suppose but his performances in the Office and to a lesser extent Extras were up there with as good as anything I can remember

My two fave actors of all time have to be Robert de Niro and Al Pacino I think they are brilliant! I've liked pretty much every film I've seen with either of them in (with the exception of Charile, the one De Niro did with Dakota Fanning- not sure what he was thinking there )

Brad Pitt is another brilliant actor, we watched Babel last night actually, not exactly a cheery film but a brilliant watch Extremely well acted and just a crazy story about life, how one event/ act sparks another and so on. One of my fave roles that Brad Pitt plays is in 12 Monkeys he's great in that. I like brad Pitt because of the diversity of roles he plays and the same for Johny Depp. He's another good actor too, personally I think the Pirates of the Caribean films would have been nothing without him.

Gene Hackman is another goodun and I really like Juliette Lewis. I also think Leonardo Di Caprio is a good actor, he was brilliant in The Aviator and Blood Diamond.

One actor that I've never rated though is Michael Cane, I just can't take him seriously. I know a lot of people will probably disagree with me there.
