IMO it's one of those drinks that if you've been really bad pissed/ill on it once, then forever more even the slightest whiff of it will knock you Tom & Dick.

That was the case for me anyway... One memorable new years eve party in the mid-late 80s... lots and lots of vomiting... the bad kind where you think yer gonna puke actual organs up... ever since then I can't go near the bloody stuff.

Similar thing happened with cheap scotch at a lock in a few years later, but thats another story. Being unable to drink cheap scotch ever since then isn't too much of a handicap I have to say...

Is this pear cider reet then? It sounds good I must admit, but I'm a bit put off by all the fucking ridiculous different coloured ones they seem to do (according to the telly adverts).

Get ya fridges stocked up summer!
So you've been to Home Bargains in Salford and didn't swing by my way

Me and Chris went through a phase of drinking Kopperberg all the time, it's delish! Obviously now I'm pregnant I can't have it so sometimes I get the non alcoholic version and that's well nice. Doesn't do the same trick obviously but it's really nice, dead refreshing.

I'm like that with Baileys, or those bloody Corkys shots in Cherry flavour

they had that in the pub too, and I was wondering if it was nice but being the pisstramp I am I obviously went for the alcohol one instead
next time i'm driving I'd definitely try it if its available

Actually I am not a pisstramp as I have just seen pear cider in the supermarkey, on special offer too, and after a moment mulling it over I carried on sailing down the aisle away from it
(I wasnt in a boat obviously..)

It'll keep.

I went off cider for years after a bad episode when I was a teenager

Went to Glasto last year though and was soon on the Brothers Pear Cider there and believe me it's fooking lush and makes the days hazy and pleasant (the bit you remember ) as it's 7.5%.

Never tried any other pear cider, but the Somerset boys tell me that's the best cider there is and that's like a royal stamp of approval The queues for the stall can be hundreds of metres long and the staff are always working flat out.

Just need a northern supplier and it'll be the ruin of us, never mind crystal meth, we'll all be dressed as bumpkins and have a few teeth missing if it takes hold up here
