What he lacks in fitness he makes up for in ability. Should defo be picked if only for experience and to help the other newbies in the squad.

Noone said he had to play the full game, bring him on last 20 or so. Makes me think if he aint gonna get the cap in a pointless freindly then when will he be given it?

this next match again the swiss is only a friendly, fab is right to rest becks, hes not needed for this fixture. he has i would think to watch other players play, and pick a squad witha full on potential, rather than "premeirship paypackets"......................i have no doulbt becks will gain his milestone cap, in a competitive match. fabio coached him for a season where he made a difference to the teams outcome, i.e tryed and tested club player..............trust me, the new england coach will include becks when the chips are down.

and just to add, how do you think becks is gonna respond to this...............hes gonna fuck off and train/try his tits off, which cant be bad for england

Agreed though, I reckon he will get called up if needed, thing is if he aint even in the squad now, whats he got to do get in the starting LINE-UP?

i agree he's done well for us and just cos his career is coming to an end, after a great career natuarally i dont think he deserves a hard time its rare he hasnt played well for england in my eyes anyway!

he did train with arsenal, for a given time showed his boots in the right direction, then swaned off to brazil, africa, back to england to gather the publicity................capello wont wash that stuff, hes seen him train, perform............he will leave him out until hes needed. dont underestimate the new englang manager. and perhaps on a mind thought thing hes sending out a message to all those england players that think there name is on the squad list...................respect to the mans values and technique.
