Ideal 8 hour working day - which hours would you choose?

my hrs are 6-30 till 2-30,but i can get finished between 11 and 12,maybe 1 at the latest and good thing is we dont clock on or off,easy coin for a 30 hr week even though im contracted for 40 lol

I'd probably suit nights as I'm such a night owl but I dont want to do them, fark that.

used to do the standard lenth day on a 8.16 to 16.15 basis but I requested (or argued my ass off more like...) and ended up changing my hours. I wanted to keep the total weekly hours the same but have every monday off, eg) on the 4 days I was in do longer days.
They wouldnt wear this, but eventually caved in to allowing me to do a 9 day fortnight, so basically every other monday off.
So to make up the 7.5 hours per fortnight I 'gain' I just stay an extra hour on tues wed and thurs each week , making 6 , and one week of it I also come in half an hour early on those days, covering the other 1.5 hours. Snorted.

Every other monday off, no loss of hours/pay, and they get someone covering earlies and lates without paying anyone overtime. Everyones a winner baby.

I really dont know why I've just explained that all so detailed, as if anyone cares . lol


Only got another week there anyway (thank fook)
so back to 5 day working weeks for me after that, shock horror how will I cope
lol. But I am smug in the fact that my new job means I finish at 11.45am on Fridays , yay
I also will do 2 full days with them and then top up the rest of the week working as a locum , if I want to (which I will as I can afford to just drop to 18hrs a week , plus you coin it in more locuming anyway)

and im never away from my bleeding work!!!!
i start at 11am work till 11pm then sleep there and get up and do 7.30am to 11am the next day!!!!
not had a day off in ages and im off this weekend so will be ordering a big vat of wine

I do 8.30-4.30 I work in a school so I get all the holidays off too!! I love my job

At the minute im on alternating between 6-2,10-6 n 2-10...Gotta say the 10-6 shift is my fave as it dont involve gettin up at 5am and then the 10pm finish on a Friday neet..

Used to do nights for a few years and with the added bonus of droppin and pickin the kids up from skool/chilminder was a real headache to deal with both mentally and physically...

Ideal hours though for me would be 8-4 or there about's...

i do 7.30 till 5, through the week and 8 till 12, on sat mornings, same every week and it pisses me right off 49hr week after week. but anything after 39hr is time and half. just wish we didn't do saturdays, ruins the weekend. should get a diffrent job really but ive done it for over 20yr now, and know it like the back of my hand.

ideal hours would be 9til 5 and no weekends for me. and an early finish friday would be the icing on the cake i hate going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark during winter. but end of the day the moneys not bad and ive made loads of friends through it, so shouldn't grumble

my hours are 8.45 to 3.45 (35hr a week), but am usually in at 7.30 so get 1.25hrs a day at time & a half, and still only work 41.25hrs a week, never work on weekends
dont have any breaks/lunch tho, but it suits me

Give me 12 hr shifts any day of the week. Cant be doing with all the rush hour shite, weekend frenzy in shops/Banks etc

More days off , Emma on Emma time during the week, Gym is quieter and i could go on
