We have a rescue greyhound and a foster greyhound.. Both of them r cool as fu&k 1 stays in the cage all day while were at work and ours(Whirly) kips 4 England, I'm not sure if you can pick your dogs anymore from rescues they tend 2 try and pair u up with a dog that suits you and vice versa..

All the best

If you get him you must bring him to meet our Teco. . .It would be a light snack to him!

Good luck with making your decision. . .It is a responsibility and you always have to be there to let him out. . . .Find a dog sitter/walker for those long mash ups!

I often have to leave early to get back to Mr Teaks!

Im going to hang fire on my decision making on this one after see a yorkie rescue centre website based in croyden (ideally wanted yorkies in the 1st place) the only trouble is they wont let anyone adopt a yorkie from them if you live more than 30 mikles from their rescue centre vets clinics - so thats kinda counted me out but i am going to speak with them to see if they can put me in touch with a yorkie rescue place near to myself as i cant find one or maybe convince them to let me have not one but two lil pooches in for a penny in for a pound, if i get yorkies im going have two!

if you're approved do eeeeeeeeeeet!

no worries on coming home to let her/him out. s/he can be trained to go out in the morning, when you get home from work and right before you go to bed.

we crate trained our steet mut from the shelter in less than two weeks. she's had free roam of the house since then with no "accidents". all it took was a strict, consistent daily routine. it's been so long now, even if we're a few hours late, she still holds it in.

i did not know this until i got a dog. but dogs, by nature, will not soil their dens (beds) so the crate-training worked like a charm.

given that you want to have a dog from a rescue centre, which i do applude, choose the dog you want. and my advice is to take it out for a few brisk walks, to familerise each other. a dog can look the nuts but be a pain in the arse on the long run, which wont help if your going to leave it on its own for a while...............it sounds daft but get a pair/couple already linked....a gamble i know, but at least they combine each other rather than rag the shit out of thi's kitchen.

if your a dog lover your minds already made up
