Great Run Manchester - 18th may

After Posca made DAMO and myself aware of this earlier and seeing as he hasn't started a thread yet, I thought i'd strike while the iron's hot and start a thread raising awareness of the event

It a charidee run of 10Km and raises money for either Marie Curie Cancer Care or Manchester council's elected charity -The New Childrens Hospital Appeal. It's your choice as you can elect either to benefit from your entry fee

We have the option to run together, but we need to elect a running partner on the booking form. So before completing the registration I thought i'd see who's interested in participating

The cost I think is £30, so if you're interested in running with us then please say so here

might just have a go at this, good excuse to get a bit fitter, which wont be hard to do good to raise a bit of money for charity, is there a min age ? cos i wouldn't mind doing it with my eldest, (11) i think she would love to do something like this as shes into cross country at mo, and it would be right up her street entering a big event and raising some cash plus after ive eaten all your dust i would still have someone to talk too for a couple of miles befor she buggers of ahead too

my mates have signed up for this so i mite just join them, i did a 10k a few years ago and did ok but the farthest ive run latley is 5k so need to get in training!!!!!

hey benny do you know that this year birmingham is going to be doing a half marathon ? starts off in great barr on the walsall rd and goes through into city centre, think its begingin of October so plenty of time to train.
