If i'd of been a girl i was going to be called Melanie.... I was also very nearly a Paul... it had been agreed by both of the 'rents, and my mum changed it last minute to my grandads name (which i really dont like) doh!

Florence or Ethel would have done, would have been better than what I finished up with.

My grandfather's names were John and Thomas, and I ended up getting named after them Parents never even considered the connotations, feckin numpties lol.

Still, could have been worse. I once knew a girl called Sue Ridge, now there's no excuse for that Poor girl, shouldn't say this but it does cheer me up to know that there are people that came off even worse than me in the name stakes
