Christmas to me is all about family and friends and not about expensive gifts

Something simple yet meaningful says more to me than spending loads on expensive presents and you really shouldn't need to to prove you love someone

Take away the commercial crap away from Christmas and try to get the basics right and that should make for a happier Christmas imo

Cheers and I know what you mean about the gadget thing. Butty has this massive 'Big Truck' (a.k.a. a massive remote control car) and he had big plans for it etc etc....

For your Dad, maybe somet musical?? I don't know what your brother is like? How old is he???

Ahhh, I love giving wicked presents though, I can do the sentimantal meaningful thing with cards...make yr own with special photos etc. Or give them a photo in a frame.

Sonyaaaaaaa my bro is 19, yeah the musical thing for my dad...but he knows everything about his kind of music & I know nothing...so whatever I got him would probs be lame by his standards, & he has all his equiptment already.

I've started making him a 'this is your life' book for his 60th though

Last year i got Jonno a box of stuff from an online joke shop. A fart machine, an exploding pen, smoke bombs- that kind of stuff. There was even some pretend winning scratch cards in there! I always think men like gadgety type shit, usually playing with it like mad for a few hours claiming it to be 'the best prezzie ever' then discarding it into the drawer or doom for eternity.

I remember we made one of those one year for one of my parens, I think it was my Mum... I'll have a think for your brother... What price range?? I think normally at that age it's clothes/aftershave/money???

Your dad, maybe try trawling the web for idea's for your dad, typing things he likes into google and seeing what you can find? Sometimes that finds the best presents? Or thinking what he needs?? Stuff you need but always put off getting? My Dad loves getting socks...

My Mum is like this. Last year I bought her a CD player for her shower. She already had a shitty radio so I thought this would be used and appreciated. Newp, never has it been used so this year I'm going for the present I know she'll love AND use. Smellies. lol.
