LOL Ive just spoke to a Dave Godfrey @ Manchester City Council, as I was a bit shocked that there was a petition needed to get Tony some kind of recognition-Dave told me that Tony Wilson will be given a postumous freedom of the city (which will be in the local newspapers tomorrow or this week) (this honour was last given to Alex Ferguson ), He said its not much use to him given the fact he has passed. He said there are a few ideas, such as naming a street after him, something long term like a music scholarship (he didnt go much into that) but he did say that they will be sitting down with Tonys family and discussing options and ideas together.

You heard it here first peeps.
