I love a pastie me

Greggs Steak Bakes and Corned Beef Pasties are personal favourites although a Ginsters Deep Filled Pepper Steak Slice goes down well.

Not good for the waistline tho

Greenhalghs pasties of the world, Mmm MMM the asian ones like err, Beef Balti pasty or Chicken Biryani lol Chicken biryani in a pasty yep thats right

Me faves are the ones that look like a stegasaurous with the spiky backs (cornish is it?), nice, but they have to be fresh!

Not sure if this is strictly a pastie but you can't beat a steak bake

Oh there is a little family baker in Hale (opposite the Altrincham football ground) that make Pasties that can only be described as a delicacy. . . a world away from Greggs, Sayers, Hampsons. . . .although I don't mind them.

This place though is great! Sort of place Rick Stein or james martin would rave on about like I am!

Amelie doesn't agree with me, but I personally think Greenhalghs are the daddy of the pie makers - they're fuckin superb (she reckons Parkinsons are the daddy).

Their steak & ale pie is as good as any I've had in a pub.

How do you pronounce it though - Greenhaughs - some people say green-alls but a lot of people say green-all-shess

For me its Parky at the top spot, Hampsons second (i love the tom and courgette pasty) and Greenhalghs third. The rest are terrible- Greggs being the worst ever!
