My first job was helping a mates dad on saturdays put in them ciggy display units in shops (the gold colour metal shelving things) was hard work like but got £15 for the day each which was mint

2. Ashfield House Hotel in Standish - Silver Service Waitress. £3 an hour slave labour, and I was frequently there all day and past midnight. Usually 2am - 3am finish
3. Pizza Hut! Equally gay. Just so you know, every time you order a large pizza with all the trimmings and it costs you about £15....they cost exactly 32p to make
4. New Look - Probs the best part time job I've had. 50%off. Whats best is my evenings are free and the ranges of clothes are getting more tasteful and better quality Plus, the grirls are a laugh
5. Solicitors Admin - May as well have worked in a call centre

Mine was in Malton too
At a video shop stockists near the bacon factory (horrible noises going on there )

Apart from paper rounds / mil rounds / bob-a-jobbing.
I went to work at Swizzels Matlow sweet factory. Running machines that shrunk wrapped tiny little boiled sweets. If that wasn't soul destroying enough. I decided to stay and become an electronical engineer. Which sounds great - but there was no work. And being the lazy, under motivated person I was; I just dossed all day. Walking around the factory at will, eating what ever I liked and sleeping wherever I liked. Would have been something I looked back on with fondness if I had only done it for a month instead of 2 years.

BTW on the soft chew lines (Refreshers/Drumsticks etc). There used to be a couple of guys who would have to force the massive slabs of candy through rollers to reduce them down to chew sizes. If they were running low on lubricant, they would gozz on the chew to help it through. One of those peeps got sacked for trying to walk out with one of the massive slabs of chew(~15kg), which he had tried to secrete around his belly

i was pretty lucky with my 1st job [even if it was yts £25 a week] i was office junior in a large engineering company in Rochdale which meant i had the chance to learn all aspects of office work but then i hit 18 and decided to leave home, party hard and give up work thinking back on it now that was a very silly thing to do, could have made myself a decent career out of it but hey what the hell no point crying

i never had a paper round meself but me mate did.......well she got her parents to do it for her........but then a new kfc opened near her and they put promotional kfc boxes in the papers as a promotional thing and ya could get a freebie chicken box meal..........they never got dished out n we jus gave em to our mates till we got collered going in about 5 times one after theother and we got busted!!!

other than that ive done care work while i was at college for 2 years, went n done some factory work making electrical units and then i got the job ive got now.....which if fingers crossed will soon be over to ake way for yet another step up the ladder!!

Always wanted to work on cars from being a kid, so first job was a trainee panel beater, they went bump (no pun intended), then became a trainee HGV mechanic, served my time, gained all my quals then binned it off, won't even touch a car now, hate that job.

left school in may 89 and got a summer job before startng college in september worked for cookson n cleggs which was a factory for making army gear, it was great tho 95 pound cash in hand plus bonus' regarding how many pieces you made needless to say that was a good summer for me lol

Proper job . Joinery apprenticeship from 16 working with sy69 off here , didnt last long tho as i got thrown out of college lol Tbh i would never of made the grade anyways

Then an electrical engineer working from a base in preston , doing contracts with firms in places like , preston , wigan , ormskirk , skem , kirby , formby , I hated it , again did not last long like ..

Then contracted glandular fever at 17 fuck me that was horrible had it for ages ..

Applied for a job on the post while i was ill , and im still there now 13 years on

looking after old dears in a nursing home was my first job!!!!!
£2.30 an hour and i fookin loved it
had some mad times with the staff and the residents re-enacting scenes from world war 2!!!!(dementia)
when the place was being refurbed one of my colleagues decided to pinch half of the wardrobes, carpets etc that was being thrown out!!
cue me an her sneacking out the back door with a wardrobe trying not to look suspicious!!! She was poor so i helped her!
would go back now if the pay was better
