ha! ace memory-jog there! used to love french skipping! was quite a whizz at it too
Upping the stakes at normal skipping too was ace... fast as poss, double ropes, turning them alternate ways, nipping in and out of the ropes, a few of you in synchronisation etc..etc...

ooh, its making me feel like going out and having a go now

if anybodys got a washing line missing blame tc........shes robbed it to do mega double dutch skipping lol

we used to love playing it in school.......and washing lines are well the bestest for skippage

I like that Cats Cradle shiz that you play with elastic, i thought thats what Ben meant and he knew some posh southern name for it .

I can't remember any of it now, i tried it with a laccy band and no, gone, its no longer in my memory I was mega fast at it once an all.

to me, cats cradle was with elastic, yes, but but the one you put on your hands and intertwine around your fingers to make mad shapes (if i'm explaining it ok)

but french skipping is where 2 mates stand opposite and both loop in round their ankles and person 3 is doing the jumping in and out of the elastic (or if theres just two of you out .... one in middle jumping, one with it round legs, and drag yer mums outside bin over and loop it round to be one of the people
