| Death live in Chatroom A coroner has called for "insult chatrooms" to be banned after a man took his own life while being watched by others on a web cam. A verdict of suicide was returned on Kevin Whitrick, 42, of Wellington, Telford, Shropshire, who died in March. Mr Whitrick was using Paltalk, which encouraged users to insult each other, when he announced he wanted to kill himself, coroner Michael Gwynne heard. | Heard about that on news earlier. I used to go on there about 7 years ago just to give some yanks a load of sh*t. It was extemely funny but thats all it was. Just a bit of fun. There would always be a few of us there, I'd never go on on my owm coz the whole point was entertaining me and my mates. People go on there to insult and be insulted so i find it hard to believe someone would take there own life just for being insulted. There must be other factors in him deciding to do it, something getting him down or something. |
