The Falling Man

I watched this programme called The Falling Man last week on tv I dont know if anyone else saw it but I cant seem to get it out of my head. Was about the twin towers and the people stuck after the plane had cr ashed. I keep thinking what would I do in that situatuion???

They were stuck, couldn't go down couldn't go up. they were hanging out of windows trying to breathe and escape the heat. then a few people jumped from god know how high!!!!!

how brave they must have been to make the decision to jump and what was going through their head on the way down??

What would you do? thats whats bugging me

yeah that was on last year, was really harsh to watch, i really dont think i could jump ! I am shite scared of heights in a big big way.

Last year i went up the Rockafella center in nYC which is now the 2nd tallest building there after empire state, no where near as tall as the twin towers. At the top theres big glass barriers that when you get up close are just a sheer vertical drop, i stood as close to the edge as i could ( about 6 feet lol ) and i actually thought what would I do in that situation, my head was spining and I felt sick and I get the urge to jump off !!?? but i couldnt do it, after looking down that drop it was a definet NO NO, but then when faced with the prospect of painfully burning alive who knows??? just hope and pray i and anybody else are never in that situation.

an awful , awful hideous choice to have to make

the thought / footage of the people in the WTC doing that has made me feel sick to the pit of my stomach many a time
it must completely bust their loved ones up to know it came to that

RIP

I saw it last year too...and I couldn't get it out of my head. I really don't think I could jump. I would wana fight so hard to try and escape! And Im frightened of heights. What the fuck must those people have been thinking for the 5 or so seconds it took for them to fall! Apparently the people in the building died almost instantly when it actually fell, tests on the remains show no signs of stress or something or other to do with muscles.....staying may have been the *better* (dont wana use that word!) option. Its fucked up either way.
