Well neither am I really.

Just wondered if you had an extra special Christmas coming up, like a foreign one or something. That was all.

Well you only have 105 days to contain your excitement!!

You will probably have exploded by then!

Oh my God, me too! Saw some being set out when I was in a shop on Monday
For a millisecond even found myself contemplating getting some cards in while I was there, but then gave myself a swift reality check that Goddamn it woman, its only just September! lol

I'm all for planning early on getting the prezzies sorted so you can spread the cost and not be whacked with big expense in December on a panic buying impulse, but FFS, it really is a bit early to be bombarded with all the minor things like cards / decorations just yet I think

wonder how long it will be before the Christmas songs are being piped through the speakers?

I think you can celebrate the good spirit or message of Christmas, despite not having a faith.

Just think that Christmas for many has ceased to mean anything of real worth and is just a huge money making scam that the masses fall prey to, while money makers rub their hands.

Our local village all gather in the square on Christmas Eve and sing carols. It was telling that while the attendance was huge. . .75% did not know the words to any of them! They wanted to join in, but no longer had the knowledge to do so.

The Xmas thing is just a personal bug bear, I just find it ironic that the word Christ is substituted with an x. I bet most people have probably never thought about it or even care what I'm on about! LOL! Some people genuinely when polled, don't even know why we have Christmas

It is up to each person to decide what is important about Christmas and how to celebrate it.

I was just offering up my own personal feelings about the death of the traditional Christmas and the rise of the consumer led, festival of spending, that is "XMAS" today for a great many.
yes it is a big money making scam

i no all the words to the carols thanks to my c of e sch upbringin n my kids wil as they attend the same, they r tought the meanin of christmas

i saw sum xmas cards in matalan the other day and its only wen i read ths topic that iv realised how early it was i was actually gruntin at the halloween stuf, the xmas didnt register
i thnk most people just rite xmas nowadays bcos its quiker especially on the net, the english language has taken a nose dive

i go on sum sites n the yunga 1s genuinely dnt no how 2 spell, im a bad speller but the grammer isnt just txt use (im v bad 4 use of txt writin, but i can write properly wen needed)
