Tony Wilson a Tribute - Tonight ITV 8:00 PM

I think this may only be shown in the Granada area, but for you North West types a little reminder about the show.

Cheers.

I saw this, you got the feeling it could have gone on a lot longer than 30 mins

The bits that made me smile was his son talking about going in the hacienda with his dad as a very young lad and being hugged by sweaty ravers, and his dad announcing his bankruptcy to him over the phone with the usual panache he brought to TV

What an impact he had, and its a national disgrace the way faceless beauracrats in the NHS play god with peoples lives via the postcode lottery

I loved the clip of Paul Ryder saying that when Tony was wooing them he said "I can't promise you loads of money, but I guarentee you will see the world". Paul Ryder was like "yeah ok that sounds great!"

Tony Wilson even managed to make becoming a rock star sound like joing the army!!

My other favourite bit was Peter Hook calling Wilson for his pomposity. . . oh how I loved the irony of that one!!!!!!!!

Yes I too thought that it was rather emasculated (speaking of pomposity!) at half an hour and poor reward for a lifes service, but Wilson would have understood only too well the difficulty of the programming schedule!!

Thats a massive thing I miss about being up North. Granada TV always has the best regional programmes .

Does anyone know if this available (legal or otherwise) to download??
