Just been reading some of the Barbed comments on the Legends board.

Talk about chips on shoulders. (not aimed at the Legends Board members only certain comments Mike has made!!)

I got the Impression Mike did not like the OSA site! Thinks we all want to be 19 again??

Mike seems to have issues with the "glo stick", one dimensional, old raver type, who only listens to Old Skool and thinks He/she is still 19.

I would like to put on record that this is a very unfair stereotype as I and many other people on the OSA site are not like this at all and I doubt were like that at 19 either.

At the end of the day it is an Old Skool site, hence it's leanings to Old Skool.

However, I would hope that there is enough "depth" amonst the members of OSA to engage the Legends crowd. I know there is and they have been warmly accepted and all seem a good crowd.

I know it's not Love Legends, but hopefully we are not all as bad as Mike would seem to think.

One man does not a forum make, but one mans actions can ruin the vibe on a forum.

Never had any issues with Mike personally (ie the way we treat each other), as I give him back what he gives me, which is pisstaking and banter. I don't like how he's singled folk out in the past though and caused them to leave when they've had enough of his stick and that's basically the thing that's wrong with the site for me and others. He has strong opinions and they often conflict with the views of others to the point where they just simply leave, or he decides to ban them.

I wouldn't say ''chips on shoulders'' Chris, as that implies you're above the folk there and i'm not too sure how you would have reacted there to be honest amidst the drama. People react differently!

Think the real issue for most though (well me anyway) was the banning of people without a justifiable reason.

I don't know Mike and I'm not out to offend anyone, perhaps it was the wrong turn of phrase to use?? I'm certainly not suggesting I'm above anyone, just that Mike appears to have some issues. The chip on shoulder remark was aimed at Mikes comments not the legends board members and having read my post I can see how it could be misunderstood, I will edit!

while it still had the legends name it will allways attract the brianless raver mentality and thats not what any of us are about that put this together, I think a good mens type magazine web site will be in order if I can get something going with members only strictly no old skool what do you think Mark?


im not a raver and have very little interest in just old skool house so don’t want to be stuck in that era the board was done for one reunion and a bit of banter between mates we didn’t advertise for anyone to come along and didn’t make money out of any of you we just gave music away sorry for that all you pissed off peope, you gate crashed the wrong party there were a few good members left and if we get this new project going which will embrace everything except old skool bleedin ravers (thumbs up smiley) then you will be more than welcome to have a laugh without getting upset the ones that understand my humour will realise i am the messiah even though I don’t play records anymore and don’t ask to be seen in any light as a DJ. There is nothing wrong with old skool house music i love it if its good quality old House but I hate the one dimensional thinking old skooler who infiltrates boards that don’t want to be pigeon holed like Legends, I hope I am making myself clear and that people understand where im coming from if we had walked away and just left it it would of become just another old skool board and it wasn’t.
