I've tried a high pressure jet washer to shift mine from the wing mirrors but they must have strong legs the 8 legged fookers, because they carry on making cobwebs on my mirrors

Mrs Radish is terrified by spiders, a real aracnophobe.
I on the other hand have no problems scooping them up in my hands and chucking them out of a window. Sometimes I think it's the only reason she keeps me around!

Ok if they are really big, I do use a glass as they can "nip" you!!

Come to think of it, I used to have a real big spider in the corner of my window in student halls. I used to leave offerings of flys for him and named him Sasha!

My mate tells me that having parsley around gets rid of flys. When the flys are gone, the spiders should feck off.

My long suffering wife tells me that spiders in the house is a sign of a clean home. I remind her that it don't look too clean with all the spider's webs hanging everywhere....

I'm partial to eradicating wasps. I will kill them as soon as they emerge in Feb/March.... but my other mate tells me not to kill them until mid/late summer. Late summer is when they turn nasty thru getting pished on fermenting fruit. Killing them too early can result in a local eco imbalance as they cut down the number of other insect larvae in spring early summer.

So, the bastards have got you either way. Less wasps = more flies = more spiders. More wasps = less flies = less spiders.

But if any uninvited insect/arachnid moves in my house it gets a twatting or a gassing.

spiders are alreet.. don't bother me at all..

cockroaches on the other hand..

unfortunately a bigger household pest than spiders over here.. in general I try and not harm any creatures.. but those feckers are the exception to the rule.. they get seriously squashed with the nearest blunt object..

Supposed to be the only creature able to survive a nuclear winter too, so don't suppose a Canadian winter's gonna have much of an effect either
