i know people there that said it happened fella, otherwise i wouldnt have believed it myself. On the smith thing i thought it was reported by the ambulence staff, and smith was probably that smacked up on morphine that he wouldnt have realised anyway

You know i'm only havin' a laugh wazza there are plenty worse fans IMO as shooms said the italians and turks for 2 prime example. Its just funny when its you lot as i know you'd do the same in return

Me and our kid went over for the final, and despite the result, its one of the best days/nights out i've ever had. Had a top laugh with all the Milan fans after the game, we were dancing & singing 'till 7 in the morning with them - they were learning all our songs and we were trying to learn theirs. Lost count of the number of times their fans were saying to us what superb supporters we are. Was amazed when got back home and all the papers are saying what a disgrace we were.

The disgrace was the fact that there was next to no provision for checking tickets at the ground, i've still got mine intact 'cos it was never even asked for. UEFA have been saying "You must ask yourself why at the same match, with the same conditions, there was no trouble with the Milan fans - only the Liverpool fans" - probably might have something to do with the clubs getting 17,000 tickets each, but Milan giving 4,000 or whatever back 'cos there wasn't that many fans which wanted them, but we had 40,000 odd fans going over.

Everyone thought they'd be able to buy tickets over there on the day, but hardly anyone was selling them, and if they were you were looking at 1000+ Euros each.

Now given that there's thousands of extra fans over, and its fekkin obvious hardly any of them have got tickets, surely you would think perhaps we need to check the tickets as people go into the ground. But they just did not check them at all, people were just holding anything blue (same colour as the tickets) in their hands and going straight through. Thats why the stadium was clearly overcrowded and why they then stopped anyone else getting in.

Fair enough the fans who kicked off on the police shouldn't have, but if you'd flown over to Athens paid 1000Euros for a real ticket and then got told you weren't getting in you'd be pissed off too.

99% of the fans who went over had a fekkin great time, were considerate, were completely gracious in defeat with the Milan fans - it was just a case of thats 1 each, see you in Moscow. But as usual the papers sniff out the few cases of trouble cos its a much better story.
