so to get in and out of the centre

Going in.

£2 outer zone + £1 to Leave outer Zone + £1 to enter inner zone = £4

Leaving £1 to leave central zone + £2 to enter outer zone + £1 to leave the zone = £4

Total for a Manchester City centre worker = £8 per day.

its says the fees are within the m60. hope they dont include that. not sure if they would as it said the 12 roads into manchester would be included. Fuck knows, but I'll be pissed off if it does coz I use that bloody motorway all the time! grrrrrrrr

I'm waiting to see what the official line is. But if the leak is true, then it would almost certainly be the end of their political careers.

I'm not totally against congestion charging, but I've always wanted more transparent taxing, so that if it's motorists that are taxed then it's the commuters that benefit - not just scuttled away in to the ether.

this could all be changing though, through some undemocratic horse trading in the local elections in bury, the liberal dems even though they did very poorly have managed to take control of gmpte and the lib dems are against congestion charging
