Hello !!!

Gawd it's been a while !

Well, I'm still here ! woohoo !

Will make it brief or I'll be here all day, cos it's been about 6 months since my last confession

Anywayyyyy, I got a job at the end of last October I had to quit after three weeks cos the boss was a bugger and wouldn't give me the paperwork needed to get a visa, had 2 weeks left in the country at this point, thought I'd have to come back (was most upset) then found out that even if the boss had given me the paperwork I needed that I would only have been allowed to stay for 4 years on a working visa but then would have had to come back (unless I married an aussie along the way, and that seemed a tad drastic) and couldn't have applied for residency for the job I did as any aussie could fill that position.

So.... I was advised to train in an area that there are skill shortages, so I'm training to be a cook ! Had to go to New Zealand for a short stint on the last day of my visa here because I had a no further stay stamp so couldn't apply whilst in the country, got back to Oz went back up to Airlie till my course started in March. Back in Bris again, sharing a flat for the first time ever, and sharing a bedroom ! which I thought was going to be terrible but all's good. I'm sharing with 4 Korean girls and 2 Korean guys, I was worried that I'd feel a total outsider but they're all so sweet and kind, the place is lovely, in the city overlooking the parklands, ace view, sauna, spa, pool and gym (which I have not used because I am a lazy bugger ! , but it looks pretty ! ). Was very funny last week, I was sat outside with my roomate and explaining to her that I was concerned about moving in and that I was surprised at how well I slept considering I'm sharing a room, she burst out laughing and said "I know you sleep well" I laughed and said "aww have I been snoring ? " she said "yes, and you talk in your sleep, you hit the wall and said "oh fook ! " and it made me like you more because I thought oh she is human just like me ! , I peed myself, how sweet is that !!!!!

So that's me up to date, learning to cook, will graduate July 08 and then I have to work in the industry for 12 months and then I can apply for residency. Never thought that this is how things would end up but I'm happy with it.

Hadn't had much computer access in ages, look forward to reading back through the pages and seeing what's been going on !
