I've been but it was about 10 years ago. I was over in Bratislava on business and caught the train on a Saturday to Budapest. The first annoying thing was the record shops were only open half day on a Saturday

Anyway there was a really decent record shop on the left hand side of the road as you turn left directly out of the main station. Loads of bargain bins on the floor and everything (and a suprising amount of Italo). Don't know if it will still be there.

Hi Shooms,

Budapest is very nice mate, went a couple of years ago. It's layout is very similar to Prague, but is not as good as Prague. Can't help with Record shops mate sorry, I only got to see shoe shops!

The local food is heavy and stodgy, but there is so much to choose from.
