Did anyone see that last week?

One in five people never visit the dentist. One in 10 is dental-phobic, terrified of the dentist chair. Sugar consumption, eating disorders and bad diet cement our global reputation for being a nation of terrible teeth.

Britain's Worst Teeth follows four twenty-somethings with some of the worst teeth in Britain. Their teeth are so bad they affect every aspect of their lives. They are in pain, they are embarrassed to go out, they find eating and speaking difficult, they find it difficult to attract partners.

Some of them were in a right state, one girl had a build of a plaque behind her lower front teeth it had formed a ledge an inch thick another was only 24 and had tooth loss of that of a 100 year old patient due to her Bulimia problems after throwing up everyday after eating food, the stomach acids had eroded 80% of her teeth away

Thought it was well put across and reckon hundreds will be flocking to the dentists soon

Personally i reck all kids should have their dental shit done via school, on the NHS. Like the nit nurse used to come in, well so should a dentist twice a year. Its wrong that children suffer becasue of their parents, either for finacial reasons or just plain unarsedness

Edited to add: I actually find slighlty wonky teeth very attractive. But then again i quite like squints and facial scars. Perfection is so boring after a few skens.

I got a cracking set of nashers if i do say so myself, you got to have a decent set of railings tho, i visit the dentist twice a year and if i need any work with i rarely do,it gets done there and then! theres this bloke where i work and his teeth are fucking sick, dirty decaying falling out of his head, argh and wen he talks to ya the smell that comes out in unreal!!!! makes me wana puke, i dont know how someone can treat their teeth like tht!

I go the gob doctor every 3 months - check ups every 6 never been happy about goin but its essential aint it

Like I said before, I love goin to the Dentist. I like to know all is well with my teeth and I don't think it's stressed enough to some people in this country how important your teeth and dental hygiene actually is.

I think it's horrid how some parents don't give a sh1t about their kids teeth, well they "do" according to them but they just never take them and don't teach them about brushing etc.

Dentists are good as fuck Dont mind going at all...always remember beign told they are with you for aslong as you look after them. My teeth aint owt spesh, but theyre clean. Been going to the dentists a fair bit recently with trouble for my wisdom teeth. man they are so annoying, its not the pain that hurts, i just wish they would hurry the fuck up and come thru properly, constant dull ache just pisses me off feeling ok at the mo, hope i dont have to have them hacked out, shoudnt do tho, i reckon mi mouths big enough-lol

My dentist only wants to see me once a year now, probably because she can't get any extra work out of my teeth because they don't seem to go wrong these days

Funny how they used to claim we needed to ge overy 6 months, then they changed it to once a year

I watched it ewww did you see it were the dentist made the girl smell the plaque build up he had just taken out i made my 11 year old watch it and it had much more of an effect than my constant nagging! i only have to say now 'remember the peeps of the telly' and he's brushing like a demon!!
They also shouldnt be allowed to charge the prices that they do.....when my bridge work is finished i will have paid almost £400 and thats on the NHS, and if the first bridge fails i will have to fork out another £195 for the second one! Ouch
